FAMILY DOG MANNERS BASIC OBEDIENCE

Family Manners Basic Obedience meets once a week for 8 consecutive weeks.  The first week is Orientation and you do not bring your dog.  At Orientation, we focus on developing your understanding of the canine mind.

It is for puppies/dogs 16 weeks and older.  This is an entry level basic obedience class with the focus of training is teaching your pup "what to do" instead of "what not to do".  We help you learn how your dog thinks and it's all about strengthening the relationship between you and your dog.

Basic Commands ~

Look ~ Sit ~ Stay ~ Down ~ Come/Recall

Front ~ Leave It ~ Proper Leash Walking

Stand For Exam ~ Stay While Walking

In addition to basic commands, you will also learn proper voice control, proper leash control, both verbal and hand signal cues and we will work on any issues that you are having at home.

Training in class will be by the positive reinforcement method ~ a lot of praise and treats!  Each week will build on the previous week.
