AGILITY

Agility is designed to demonstrate a dog's willingness to work with its handler in a variety of situations. It is an athletic event that requires conditioning, concentration, training and teamwork. Dog and handlers negotiate an obstacle course racing against the clock!

Do you watch agility competitions on television and marvel, envying the communication between dog and handler?
Do you dream of watching your own dog zip through the tunnel and fly over the A-Frame?
Agility might be for you!
AGILITY OFFERS A GREAT WAY TO BOND AND EXERCISE WITH YOUR DOG - BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY!

REQUIREMENT:  DOGS MUST BE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OLD FOR AGILITY CLASSES!

CLASS #1:   INTRODUCTION TO AGILITY CLASS   (Required)

All journeys begin with a first step, so step into Agility with this 8-week foundation class!

The class will focus on safety for the dog and handler, communication techniques important for agility, building teamwork and motivation, proper jumping techniques, and basic handling skills with a goal of making your dog (and you!) comfortable with each piece of equipment!

CLASS #2:  AGILITY NOVICE
We work on increasing basic obstacle performance, footwork and basic handling skills, handler and canine confidence, uniting the canine-human team through chaining successful directional exercises.

CLASS #3:   AGILITY INTERMEDIATE
We work on handling skills, reliable obstacle performance at speed and with flow, handler/obstacle focus, obstacle discrimination and more!
